Overview

The Senior Manager, Regional International Operations is accountable for the fiscal and operational leadership, direction, and overall management of international operations within the assigned region. Provides leadership to international operations teams to ensure consistent execution of the regional operations. Responsible for driving operational excellence through the implementation of standardized processes, compliance with company policies and procedures, and adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements.

Provides oversight of key operational performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring continuous improvement, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals while modeling and acting in accordance with the Company's Core Values.

Supports the growth of international business by ensuring operational capabilities align with commercial strategy, customer requirements, and market opportunities in addition to supporting strategic customer initiatives, large-scale opportunities, and regional business development efforts to achieve revenue growth and long-term profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to support the business development, sales, marketing and new account development of international services for the region to ensure that maximum transportation revenue is generated to achieve profitability goals and objectives. Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT and corporate administration to ensure efficient operations. Assists in new account on-boarding and SOP development. Plan and implement appropriate resources (staffing, training, equipment, and systems) to ensure contractual compliance and delivery of quality services that meet and exceed the customer's expectations
  • Provide the station operation's team with daily guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to international operations, communication, revenue enhancement, human resources, procedures standardization, systems applications, and process execution. Assist stations with sales presentations, customer bids, and the promotion of the company's products and services. Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of international staff to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met. Address all employee performance problems with the station manager and directly in accordance with company personnel policies.
  • Oversees, leads, and directs the fiscal and operational performance of international operations across the assigned region, with accountability for achieving growth, profitability, service excellence, and operational objectives. Drives continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and financial performance while ensuring consistent execution of regional priorities. Reviews and evaluates regional profit and loss performance, identifies opportunities to improve financial results, and develops action plans to address budget variances and achieve business objectives. Exercises sound business judgment in making complex operational and financial decisions that balance customer needs, operational effectiveness, and organizational performance.
  • Leads and develops the Regional International Managers (RIMs), ensuring consistent execution of operational strategies, standardized KPI measurement, quality best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across all regions to drive operational excellence and performance consistency.
  • Work directly with the regional Director of Operations to establish regional and local goals within the parameters of the region operation's business plan. Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory laws and guidelines.

Qualifications

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, international business, supply chain or operations management or equivalent degree (required)
• Master's Degree (preferred)

Experience
• 10+ years of international freight forwarding experience (air, ocean, brokerage) (required)
