Full Job Description
Dream is looking for a Senior Manager, Property Accounting!

This role will require a solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, financial reviews, and leading a team to ensure accurate and timely management of properties within the portfolio.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

  • Manage, train and develop a team of Property Accountants to ensure delivery of good customer service is provided to internal and external clients;
  • Initiate, manage and implement process improvements;
  • Manage the full cycle of accounting duties of revenue generating properties within the portfolio;
  • Review monthly, quarterly and yearly processing and reporting of property financials including account reconciliations and recovery analysis, job cost and fixed assets, bank reconciliations and integrity reports;
  • Timely consolidated reporting of NOI variances;
  • Ensure the property budget responsibilities for accounting are on time and accurately executed; co-ordinate with the sites and other departments as necessary;
  • Ensure corporate G&A fees are properly recorded and variances analyzed;
  • Coordinate year-end audits for common area costs and ensure tenant billings are processed according to standard lease provisions and departmental goals; and
  • Assist property management with tenant account reconciliations.


What type of experience is required?

These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

  • CPA with at least five (5) years of experience in real estate accounting and reporting;
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver against tight deadlines;
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Strong people skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization;
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated written and verbal reports, presentations, and meeting facilitation; and


Bonus, if you have experience in the following areas:

  • Experience working in JD Edwards.




This is a regular, full-time position with a base salary range of $110,000-$130,000. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible for a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes paid vacation and personal days, flexible benefits, mental health resources, access to perks and discounts, professional development support, and team-building and social events.

Compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, total years of experience, industry experience, education, and professional designations. We recognize that exceptional talent doesn't always fit neatly into a bracket. Final compensation will be tailored to your specific experience, skills and the unique value you bring to the table. If your qualifications exceed the scope of this role, we may be open to adjusting the mandate - and the salary - to reflect that expertise.
