Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Project Management develops and leads multiple cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, driving execution, and fostering continuous improvement across various domains.

What you'll do...

The Senior Manager, Project Management oversees the development, prioritization and execution of multiple cross-functional projects and programs that support strategic business objectives. This role involves identifying process improvements, benchmarking industry best practices, and utilizing data and insights to drive informed business decisions. Ensuring data accuracy and credibility, the Senior Manager manages efforts to support sustainable practices, asset optimization and complex, organization-wide initiatives, while adapting to changing business priorities and operational demands

In this role, the Senior Manager drives the execution of business plans by identifying customer operational and organizational needs, communicating priorities, and removing obstacles to performance. Responsibilities include portfolio planning, risk management, resource allocation, developing contingency plans, and supporting continuous learning to ensure successful project and portfolio delivery. The role is responsible for coordinating the Supply Chain Capital Long Range Plan (LRP) and Capital Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes in partnership with cross-functional business units by consolidating inputs, priorities and investment requirements. Managing current and forecasted project pipelines involves developing work plans, aligning objectives with organizational goals, establishing performance metrics, and monitoring project milestones, budgets, forecasts and expenditures against schedules and budgets. The Senior Manager acts as the primary contact for project and program requests and communicates status, regular updates, and recommendations to key stakeholders and leadership teams.

Supervising and developing associates, the Senior Manager provides coaching, mentoring, training and performance evaluations, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and results oriented work environment. Ensuring diversity awareness and providing recognition and rewards are also key aspects of this role. The Senior Manager drives informed decision-making by collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish project objectives, success criteria, identify risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies. Building stakeholder alignment, leading communication plans and supporting change management activities are also essential duties.

Promoting company policies and values, the Senior Manager ensures compliance and supports the Open Door Policy. Influencing change processes through data-driven recommendations, business case development, capital planning support, and continuous improvement initiatives, the role involves building strong relationships with supply chain leadership, business partners, and operational stakeholders. Additionally, the Senior Manager evaluates the effectiveness of current project delivery practices, governance processes, investment plans and strategic initiatives, identifies opportunities for improvement, and participates in community outreach events. Enhancing project workflow by establishing consistent practices and standards for deliverables to enhance project execution and business outcomes is a critical component of this position.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline. MBA, PMP, or related professional designation considered an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Capital Planning, or related disciplines, including leadership of complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience leading capital portfolios and strategic planning processes, including Long Range Planning (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, investment prioritization, business case development, and executive-level reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership, align cross-functional teams, and drive organizational change.
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain operations, asset lifecycle management, capital investment planning, project governance, risk management, and PMO best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using project portfolio management and collaboration platforms such as Wrike, Airtable, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or equivalent systems.
