Job Details:

Primarily A shift, but b/c this is a SR MGR position they may need to work where the opportunities are. # of days of work depending on projects, weekly performance, 6 days as needed.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to provide a safe working environment for all, to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non- union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.

Experience: Strong sound Safety awareness, 5 plus years of related industry; 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred ; and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.

Special Skills: Leader problem solver team player.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems.

Travel: 0-20 Times per year 0-2

Other Requirements: Lead people by example accept and delegate responsibility display sound judgment and decision making skills; problem solve in an efficient manner with sound follow up; strong managerial skills necessary; excellent safety and attendance records. Ability to work with department heads to meet safety production and quality yields and meet goals.
