Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the centralized People Resolutions Partner team, ensuring consistent support across VEG.
  • Own and oversee the workplace investigations program, including case intake and prioritization based on risk.
  • Conduct highly sensitive investigations and advise on workplace conflict and policy interpretation.
  • Manage the accommodation program and ensure effective workflows for case governance.
  • Review investigation processes for quality, consistency, and compliance with legal standards.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends and improve organizational decision-making.

THE JOB

At VEG, we find a way to say YES-and for People Resolutions, that means finding a fair and thoughtful path forward when workplace concerns are complex or sensitive. As Senior Manager, People Resolutions you'll lead VEG's workplace investigations program and ensure an equitable, consistent, and people-first approach to resolving complex workplace concerns. Providing strategic oversight of the People Resolutions Partners and function, you'll enable equitable outcomes across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Director of People Experience, you'll oversee the centralized People Resolutions team, triage employee relations concerns, and determine the appropriate ownership of investigations between People Business Partners (PBPs) and People Resolutions Partners based on complexity, risk, and business impact. The Senior Manager also personally conducts highly complex, sensitive, or high-risk investigations while coaching and developing their team to ensure investigative excellence.

In addition to investigations, the Sr. Director of People Experience will train and develop programs around workplace accommodations to ensure a consistent, equitable and compliant process for all workplace accommodations.

You'll partner closely with Sr Director of People Experience, PBPs, Labor Relations, Legal, Operations, and other People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs) to identify organizational trends, strengthen leader capability, mitigate risk, and continuously improve the VEGgie experience. Through data, partnership, and thoughtful program design, you'll help ensure our investigation practices are consistent, scalable, legally sound, and aligned with VEG's culture and values.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • People Resolutions Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the centralized People Resolutions Partner team, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistent, high-quality support across VEG.
  • Investigations and Case Governance: Own VEG's workplace investigations program and the standards, playbooks, and workflows that support it. Oversee case intake, prioritization, and assignment based on complexity, sensitivity, and organizational risk.
  • Complex Employee Relations: Lead highly sensitive or enterprise-level investigations and advise leaders, PBPs, Labor Relations, Legal, and VQ partners on performance, corrective action, workplace conflict, accommodations, policy interpretation, and employment risk.
  • Accommodations and Case Governance: Own VEG's accommodation program and the standards, playbooks, and workflows that support it. Oversee case intake, prioritization, and assignment.
  • Quality, Compliance, and Risk: Review investigation findings, recommendations, and documentation for quality, consistency, and objectivity. Partner with Legal, Labor Relations, Compliance, and other Centers of Excellence to ensure practices align with company policy and applicable employment laws.
  • Workforce Insights and Operational Excellence: Use case data, hotline reports, accommodations, and engagement feedback to identify recurring themes and root causes. Build reporting and metrics that improve timeliness, quality, outcomes, and organizational decision-making.
  • Leader Capability and Workplace Culture: Partner across People Experience and Operations to strengthen leader capability, improve workplace culture, and reduce preventable risk through training, policies, proactive programs, and sustainable action plans for hospitals requiring additional support.


WHAT YOU NEED
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources Business Partnering, Employment Law, or a related People function.
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex, sensitive workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, ethics concerns, leadership conduct, and other high-risk employee relations matters.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and building or improving employee relations programs, investigation practices, policies, and operational workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, workplace investigations, accommodations, and employee relations practices, with the judgment to balance compassion, fairness, business needs, and organizational risk while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and engage inclusively with frontline VEGgies, hospital and market leaders, VQ partners, and executives.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities, use workforce insights to recommend solutions, and approach new challenges with urgency, curiosity, and ownership in a fast-growing environment.
