SENIOR MANAGER OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, MIT Press , to help shape next-generation publishing models, knowledge products, and strategic partnerships. This individual-contributor role identifies, incubates, and scales new revenue-generating initiatives across the MIT Press portfolio, blending partnership development with practical product thinking and project management. Will move fluidly between shaping a business case, scoping a partnership, and coordinating a pilot launch, working closely with the Head of Technical Innovation and Strategic Partnerships and the technical team, as well as with the Director and Publisher, editorial and journals staff, marketing, and external partners across academia and industry.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : A minimum of five years in product development, project management, digital media, scholarly publishing, or a related field, with hands-on delivery experience; track record of bringing products, services, or partnerships from concept to launch; strong understanding of digital publishing, platform businesses, and knowledge products; product fluency sufficient to collaborate with technical product managers, designers, and developers without leading technical execution; excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; and Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. PREFERRED : Experience in scholarly publishing, edtech, research infrastructure, AI/ML products, or media innovation; familiarity with IP and licensing, including issues at the intersection of AI and publishing; experience structuring partnerships and commercial deals; comfort building financial models and KPI frameworks; or MA, MS, or MBA.
