Full Job Description
Job Summary
This job is responsible for the management oversight of the Nuclear Fleet Unescorted Access and Fitness for Duty Program(UA/FFD) and serves as the Program Senior Manager.
Provides interpretation of USNRC Regulation, Company Policy and Procedures related to UA/FFD.

Provides program and process guidance to the Nuclear Fleet personnel who have the day-to-day responsibility of the UA/FFD Programs.

Provides technical guidance and support to all audits and inspections.

Reviews and oversees approval of Contractor/Vendor Programs.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities
  • Manages the ownership of the Site/Fleet Access and Fitness for Duty teams to ensure compliance to USNRC Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Serves as a regulatory interface with the USNRC, Regulatory Affairs, and Audit Teams
  • Performs as the nuclear fleet subject matter expert regarding UA/FFD regulations
  • Provides oversight of the Contractor/Vendor programs that support the day-to-day implementation of the UA/FFD Programs
  • Interfaces with Industry lobbying teams for Vistra UA/FFD Programs
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with all station departments across the nuclear fleet
  • Provides guidance and direction to IT support of the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Tracking Database and Implementing Programs
  • Coordinates and Leads UA/FFD OPI discussion and tracks for completion.
  • Performs the role of Reviewing Official, Fitness for Duty Collector, and UA/FFD Trainer as required.


Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
  • 15 years' experience in the nuclear security industry (required)
  • 5 years' experience as a supervisor/leader (required)
  • Working knowledge of 10CFR Part 73.56 and 10CFR Part 26, and NEI 03-01 (required)
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Possess systematic problem-solving skills
