Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Manufacturing operations ensures the proper execution and flow of work building various rocket components and engines at our West Palm Beach facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in manufacturing and assembly processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured/fabricated to the highest quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize assembly processes, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for assembly operations, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the assembly operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior operations experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior operations experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior operations experience.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and assembly operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Supervisory and administrative skills including the ability to select, appraise, motivate and develop subordinates.
  • Ability to optimize a manufacturing environment with process equipment, specialty tooling and facility maintenance.
  • Familiarity with EHS practices in the manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels and functions; including the ability to present to senior-level executives
  • Ability to provide effective direction, leadership and team building.
  • Demonstrated abilities to plan, prioritize and delegate work assignments, including ability to define, implement and execute standard work.
  • Skills and abilities to provide technical and administrative guidance for activities, including decision making in ambiguous situations
  • Knowledge and ability to supervise/manage large multi-functional manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of design practices, manufacturing techniques and inspection requirements as they relate to the production floor.
