Job Description:

The Learning & Development Senior Manager, Assurance is responsible for the strategy, design, development and implementation of technical and functional learning for client facing Assurance Practice team members. It is critical for this role to be able to partner across multiple learning portfolios to design a model for readiness that meets the needs of the Baker Tilly Assurance Practice.

This is a new role and the successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of relationship building and entrepreneurial spirit in creating a new learning support ecosystem for our Assurance team members. Performance consulting, learning program management and learner centric design skills will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop the strategy and implementation plan for firm-wide learning for the assigned client group in line with the overall firm learning vision and strategy; provide solutions that improve performance, drive business outcomes, and meet continuing professional education requirements
  • Develop and grow relationships with service line and Professional Practice Group leadership and stakeholders and utilize performance consulting skills to identify learning needs for the portfolio.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve the firm-wide learning curriculum portfolio for the assigned client group, partner with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the practice and leverage best practices and future-focused innovations
  • Create an annual plan to execute the curriculum portfolio strategy and execute with strong project management skills, monitoring work-plans and managing against milestones
  • Serve as primary owner for the curriculum portfolio for the assigned client group, with hands on involvement in pulling together and leading a team for curriculum and program design, delivery and evaluation
  • Lead direct report(s) and other learning team members with excellence to foster high-performance; develop people through advocacy, coaching, mentoring and training
  • Oversee operations for the curriculum portfolio including budgeting, resources, facilitator recruitment and management, delivery management, communications, evaluation, reporting, and vendor relationships
  • Actively partner with Learning and People Team colleagues to ensure a common approach and consistency across the learning and people initiatives at the firm


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in learning or a related field preferred; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of Learning and Development experience or related experience in a complex organization required; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience managing others with demonstrated involvement building and leading high performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)
  • Experience developing and implementing learning strategy and operations for technical content
  • Experience with adult learning principles and learning curriculum and content design and development in multiple learning modalities
  • Strong project management skills; able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with Learning Management Systems, online course creation tools, and webinar/virtual classroom platforms
  • Strong executive presence with ability to develop relationships, build rapport, and effectively interface with all levels within the firm
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook, etc)
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10%


The pay rate range for this job position is $127,000 to $260,380. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
