Job Responsibilities:

LABOR RELATIONS STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP
• Partner with the Senior Director of Labor Relations to develop and execute enterprise labor relations strategy.
• Identify and recommend critical labor relations priorities and proactively address emerging risks.

COLLECTIVE BARGAINING & UNION ENGAGEMENT
• Represent the company at the bargaining table, including serving as lead or co-lead negotiator.
• Speak on behalf of the company during negotiations and labor-management meetings.

DEPUTY / BACKUP TO SENIOR DIRECTOR
• Serve as designated backup to the Senior Director of Labor Relations.
• Independently lead labor initiatives and partner with external labor counsel.

LABOR CAMPAIGNS & ORGANIZING ACTIVITY
• Lead or co-lead labor campaigns and work with external consultants.

GRIEVANCE, ARBITRATION & COMPLIANCE
• Oversee the grievance and arbitration process.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

ANALYTICS & LABOR INTELLIGENCE
• Analyze internal and external labor trends and provide actionable insights.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & BEST PRACTICES
• Design and implement scalable labor relations processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field
  • 5 years or more of progressive labor relations experience

The Senior Manager, Labor Relations serves as a key leader within the Labor Relations function, partnering with the Senior Director to develop, execute, and sustain the company's labor relations strategy. This role operates with a high degree of independence and professional judgment and is expected to function as the primary deputy to the Senior Director, assuming leadership responsibilities when required.

The position plays a critical role in representing the company in complex labor matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, labor campaigns, and union engagement, and carries decision-making authority across assigned initiatives. This role is viewed as a succession-ready leadership position within the Labor Relations organization.

Pay Range: $130,000-$150,000 base salary + annual bonus

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
