Given the continued growth in our hedge fund segment, coupled with the expanded trading hours (e.g. 9pm-8pm EST) expected on December 6th, we are seeking an experienced team member to join our investment operations team remotely in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MT) or Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST).

Who You Are

The Senior Manager, Investment Operations is responsible for leading the delivery of investment operations services for multiple hedge funds and alternative investment clients while ensuring operational excellence and exceptional client service. This role oversees the daily execution of pre- and post-trade operations, serves as a trusted advisor to clients, and partners closely with internal teams, prime brokers, administrators, and counterparties to support the full investment lifecycle.

As a hands-on leader, the Senior Manager provides operational expertise, mentors team members, and drives process improvements while supporting multiple clients in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate possesses deep investment operations experience, strong technical knowledge, exceptional client relationship skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and service.

What You'll Do

Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, delivering exceptional service through proactive communication, responsiveness, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, prime brokers, fund administrators, counterparties, and internal business partners.
  • Successfully manage multiple client relationships simultaneously while consistently meeting service expectations and deadlines.
  • Respond promptly to operational inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and provide clients with timely updates and solutions.


Investment Operations
  • Oversee the daily execution of pre- and post-trade operational activities across multiple client accounts.
  • Manage trade confirmation, settlement, and fails resolution.
  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review daily profit and loss (P&L) reconciliations and reporting.
  • Process corporate actions and proxy voting activities.
  • Coordinate broker and counterparty onboarding.
  • Maintain security master data and ensure the integrity and accuracy of investment data.
  • Learn, apply, and adhere to the firm's operational controls, risk parameters, policies, and regulatory procedures.


Product & Systems Expertise
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of investment products and financial markets, including:
    • Equities
    • Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
    • Options
    • Futures
    • Swaps
    • Foreign Exchange (FX)
    • Cryptocurrency products (preferred)
  • Maintain advanced working knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and Portfolio Management Systems (PMS).
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve operational efficiency and enhance the client experience.


Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on accountability, client service, and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate work effectively while ensuring operational accuracy, quality, and timely execution.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Operations, Middle Office, Trading, and Client Service to resolve issues and improve operational workflows.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement efforts that support business growth and operational scalability.
  • Promote best practices and ensure consistent execution of operational procedures across the team.


What You Bring

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the alternative investment management industry, with primary experience supporting hedge funds and/or crypto hedge funds.
  • Prior experience working at a Prime Broker, Outsourced Trading Firm, Institutional Sell-Side Firm, Bank, Fund Administrator, Outsourced Investment Operations provider, Hedge Fund, or Traditional Asset Manager.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams, including setting priorities, delegating responsibilities, coaching team members, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investment operations across the investment lifecycle.
  • Advanced knowledge of pre- and post-trade operations, trade settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, and operational controls.
  • Strong proficiency with Order Management Systems (OMS), Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment.
