The RoleAnduril is seeking a Senior Manager of Inventory Operations to own end-to-end inventory accuracy across the enterprise. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building and scaling the systems, processes, and teams that ensure best-in-class inventory accuracy as Anduril rapidly scales manufacturing operations. You will lead the cycle count program, manage a team of inventory control specialists, drive year-end inventory audits, and establish the governance and tooling required to sustain world-class performance.
This is a full-stack role. You will move fluidly between partnering with our analytics team to build reporting and tooling, briefing executives on inventory health metrics, and driving hands-on operational improvements on the floor. The ideal candidate combines deep inventory management expertise with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities- Own enterprise-wide inventory accuracy targets and drive continuous improvement toward best-in-class performance
- Design, implement, and scale the cycle count program across all Anduril facilities, ensuring coverage, frequency, and methodology align with operational needs and audit requirements
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of inventory control specialists
- Lead year-end physical inventory audits and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit teams
- Establish and maintain inventory control governance frameworks, including policies, SOPs, root cause analysis processes, and corrective action protocols
- Partner with the analytics team to design and build inventory control tooling, dashboards, and reporting that provide real-time visibility into inventory health
- Brief executive leadership on inventory accuracy metrics, trends, risk areas, and improvement initiatives
- Drive operational improvements by identifying systemic root causes of inventory discrepancies and implementing sustainable fixes across warehouse, manufacturing, and supply chain processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT/Systems teams to ensure inventory processes are integrated and scalable
- Define and enforce inventory control standards for new facility launches and production line stand-ups
- Evaluate and implement inventory management technologies and system enhancements (ERP, WMS, barcode/RFID)
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of building and scaling cycle count programs and achieving sustained inventory accuracy improvements
- Experience managing and developing teams of inventory control professionals
- Deep understanding of inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, ABC analysis, root cause analysis, variance investigation)
- Experience leading cycle count programs and year end inventory audits
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable operational improvements
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and warehouse management systems
- Excellent executive communication skills - able to distill complex operational data into clear, concise briefings
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a high-growth manufacturing or defense/aerospace environment
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar) and ability to partner with data teams to build custom tooling
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar professional certification
- Experience implementing RFID, barcode scanning, or other inventory automation technologies
- Track record of operating in environments with strict regulatory or compliance requirements (ITAR, DFARS, etc.)
US Salary Range
$166,000-$220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
