Position: Senior Manager, Inventory Management

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716

Duties: Partners in the development of strategic plans to deliver financial results for categories by sponsoring and leading cross-functional projects to meet strategic financial plans; approving inventory budget and goals; aligning category goals to divisional goals; influencing and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure sales, in-stock, inventory, and profitability metrics are achieved; evaluating and justifying trade-offs between club instock and inventory investment; overseeing execution of financial and operational plans; analyzing trends in financial performance and external market factors to align resources to address future challenges; integrating results of team analytics (e.g., inventory analysis) to influence cross-functional team decisions; and modeling future inventory plans against supply chain capability. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Participates in the development of strategic plans to deliver financial plan for categories by sponsoring and leading cross-functional projects to meet strategic financial plans; approving inventory budget and goals; aligning category goals to divisional goals; influencing and collaborating with senior leadership (e.g., Merchandising, Suppliers Logistics) to ensure sales, in-stock, inventory, and profitability metrics are achieved; evaluating and justifying trade-offs between club instock and inventory investment; overseeing execution of financial and operational plans; analyzing trends in financial performance and external market factors to align resources to address future challenges; integrating results of team analytics (e.g., inventory analysis) to influence cross-functional team decisions; and modeling future inventory plans against supply chain capability. Directs and optimizes supply chain execution for multiple category groups by leading strategic cross-functional projects to optimize supply chain effectiveness; leading supply chain channel decision (e.g., import distribution center, cross-dock distribution center, direct to club); setting financial expectations and driving results for supply chain savings; overseeing inventory management across multiple supply chain channels and club formats; reviewing and authorizing plans for non-standard movement and arrival of merchandise (e.g., brand launch, seasonal inventory flow) across the supply chain; providing leadership in situations (e.g., natural disasters, manufacturing, transportation) that will have a significant impact on supply chain execution; and developing and calibrating category and category group level order strategies for optimized inventory management. Aligns, develops, and directs resources to achieve objectives and financial results for categories by managing relationships with key strategic import and domestic suppliers as it pertains to supply chain management; establishing and communicating team goals and objectives to internal and external business partners (e.g., Planning, suppliers); responding to escalated issues related to order placement and validation; communicating objectives and results of financial and operational performance to internal and external senior and executive management; driving educational programs to train internal and external business partners; and developing presentation content and presenting at supplier summits and divisional conferences.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in supply chain, merchandising, retail management, or a related field; OR 5 years of experience in supply chain, merchandising, retail management or related field.

Skills Required: Must have experience with: Inventory planning, demand forecasting, stock replenishment, safety stock management, and inventory optimization. End-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution. ERP systems (e.g., JDA, SAP, Oracle) and inventory management platforms. Demand planning and forecasting using historical sales data. Aligning inventory with customer demand and service-level agreements (SLAs). Managing safety stock for uninterrupted supply. Advanced skills in SQL, Python, GCP, Tableau, Power BI, and Dataiku for data analysis. Big data management and data visualization (Dashboards like Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to review forecast demand, optimize inventory, and mitigate risks associated with safety stock. Automating inventory processes for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. KPIs to monitor performance, including inventory costs, ROI, and working capital. Mitigating supply chain risks through risk management strategies. Strategic planning for inventory forecasting and transformation. Exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify root causes of issues. Understanding customer demand patterns and optimizing processes. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Rate of pay: $132,621 - $180,000/ year
