About This Role

We are partnering with a global organization seeking an experienced international tax professional to support strategic tax initiatives, cross-border planning, and tax controversy matters during a critical project period. This consulting engagement is expected to begin in July and continue through January, with potential for extension based on business needs.

This role will work closely with finance, legal, treasury, accounting, and external advisors to support international tax planning initiatives, documentation, audit readiness, and technical analysis across multiple jurisdictions. (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

What You Will Work On

Key Responsibilities
• Support international tax planning and operational tax initiatives aligned with broader corporate and financial objectives
• Assist in evaluating, modeling, and implementing cross-border tax strategies and transactions
• Conduct technical tax research and prepare supporting analysis related to international tax matters and planning opportunities
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, and Accounting to facilitate execution of tax-related projects
• Partner with tax accounting and compliance teams to assess impacts to provision, reporting, and compliance requirements
• Maintain organized documentation and support files for tax planning projects and controversy matters
• Assist with responses to tax authority inquiries, audit requests, and information document requests (IDRs)
• Participate in discussions with external advisors and tax authorities as needed
• Support development of technical memoranda, audit defense documentation, and position papers
• Contribute to process improvement efforts related to tax data gathering, documentation, and project management

What You Will Bring

Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in international tax planning, tax controversy, or cross-border tax advisory work
• Prior experience within a Big 4 accounting firm, large corporate tax department, or law firm environment preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. international tax concepts, global tax regulations, transfer pricing considerations, and audit processes
• Ability to analyze complex tax issues and communicate conclusions effectively to both tax and non-tax stakeholders
• Strong collaboration and project management skills within cross-functional environments
• Advanced degree in Taxation (MS Tax or LL.M.) preferred
• Experience supporting tax process improvement initiatives or tax technology-enabled workflows is a plus

Additional Information
• Interim consulting engagement beginning July 2026 (Onsite 3 days)
• Expected duration: approximately 6+ months through January 2027
• Competitive market rate based on experience
