Sr. Manager Industrial and Technical Procurement US - Aurora, CO

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Industrial and Technical Procurement - U.S. in Aurora, CO!

'Day to Day'

Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Centricity
  • Meet regularly with senior team members to achieve early involvement in Business' strategy definition to influence key decisions and improve resource allocations.
  • Align local, area-wide and worldwide sourcing plans and influence internal collaborators to deploy global or regional initiatives locally.
  • Promote regional meetings with senior collaborators to drive continuous performance improvements on quality and total cost of ownership throughout the complete business workflow.

Industry, Market and Supplier Strategy
  • Capitalize on industry and category knowledge and perform regular benchmarks to anticipate organizational demands and translate them into sourcing strategies.
  • Provide advice and guidance on market sources, intelligence and trends and facilitate innovation by applying a strong framework with suppliers.

Excellence in Executing Capacity Deployment programs
  • Ensure outstanding performance in all validated technology capacity deployment projects. Prioritize meeting PMI's On Time and In Full expectations in Consumables, Substrates, and Digital Printing Technology categories.
  • Develop, cultivate, and promote a culture of excellence in execution. Use OPEN+ tools like DMS (Daily Management System) and Problem Solving within the Technical Procurement Capacity deployment team and with the suppliers involved in deployment projects.

Demand Management and Procurement Sourcing Plans
  • Provide Procurement support and guidance to the business in the budgeting process for the regions, acting as a key account for the Global Engineering, Manufacturing CoE's and Manufacturing Affiliates.
  • Translate Business requirements into actionable plans. Assemble potential long-term opportunities and address risks. Contribute to PMI's regional and local strategy definition and include global and regional sourcing strategies in local plans.
  • Define and lead effective methods to create a forward-looking view of spend in the technical category, ensuring consolidation and productivity in technical materials category and balance customization/standardization with regards to requirements linked to OEM alternative suppliers.

Negotiation & Partnership
  • Master negotiation tools and styles to drive business needs and proactively build levers. Coordinate and steer critical negotiations and lead complex ones. Anticipate results and align with stakeholders on possible negotiation outcomes.
  • Establish cross-functional cooperation to implement value added initiatives that reduce waste and increase efficiency, such as outsourcing, demand management, internal process efficiency.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) - Segment the supply base of all non-globally managed suppliers and establish different types of supplier relationships based on defined criteria. Define governance and escalation models to manage those relationships. Link supplier capabilities and local business and procurement objectives. Work with key suppliers on value creation and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the respective Category Managers consolidating all performance-related aspects of core OEM's as well as globally managed OPM's.

Contractual Framework Promotion
  • Master legal templates to encompass local legislative requirements, Business' needs, IP rights, company protection and exclusivity clauses. Advise colleagues and internal stakeholders on the impact of relevant clauses for contracting.
  • For non-critical services or goods, correctly balance the usage of customized contractual frameworks versus Purchase Orders to meet Company objectives of speed and time-to-market.

Procurement Model & Compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement and simplification of technical procurement processes in alignment with regional and global procurement operations.
  • Ensure Global Technical Procurement objectives implementation putting in place key control measures and relevant KPI's to assure Procurement process compliance and efficiency at regional/affiliate level.
  • Represent regional requirements on end-to-end business processes, standards and procedures leading global/regional implementation, change management and adoption of global procurement systems, standards, processes and procedures.

People
  • Improve the team's performance by setting clear objectives, reviewing achievements, assessing training needs and providing development opportunities.
  • Ensure effective & efficient integration and engagement with remote teams or colleagues from SSC, regional and global functions.
  • Focus on building a talent pipeline and effective succession plans for key positions.
  • Manage effectively remote teams to develop procurement professional. Support subordinates through mentoring and coaching to realize potential in full and drive outstanding results.

What we are looking for:
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
  • Diploma from a recognized Procurement Institute is an asset
  • MBA degree or relevant professional experience is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years engaged in procurement at a strategic level, preferably across categories. Alternatively, within Procurement, Engineering or Manufacturing at a supervisory/managerial level
  • Exposure to a multinational environment, preferably within a FMCG company
  • Proven experience in people management

Base Salary Range - $176,000 - $220,000
