Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement to join our team in Holland, MI.

As a Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement, you will:

Provide strategic leadership for Haworth's indirect procurement function, leading teams responsible for sourcing, supplier management, contracting, and procurement operations. Partnering closely with stakeholders across the business, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies, drive process improvements, and deliver measurable business value. This role will be instrumental in leading procurement transformation initiatives, supporting the adoption of new technologies and processes, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Essential Functions

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to supply chain teams, aligning their efforts with the overall business objectives and ensuring consistent performance across the organization.
  • Champion a culture of supply chain excellence and continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other best practices to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Oversee the execution of large-scale supply chain projects, effectively managing risks, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop high-performing supply chain talent, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and provide technical expertise.
  • Actively participate in industry events, committees, or organizations to align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the supply chain team, encouraging the exploration and implementation of new technologies, resources and digitalization to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or indirect procurement (5 years with a Master's degree).
  • Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management activities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to influence stakeholders and achieve business objectives.
  • Experience leading teams and stakeholders through significant organizational, process, or technology change, with demonstrated change management and adoption leadership capabilities.
  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Ariba preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in other leading source-to-pay and procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, JAGGAER, Ivalua, or similar solutions) considered highly valuable.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, including: Excel (advanced level), Power BI, Microsoft Project or comparable project management tools.
  • Proven success driving procurement transformation through the development, implementation, and adoption of standardized processes, governance, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships, influence stakeholders, and lead change across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and leverage data to drive business results.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members into expanded or more senior roles, with measurable examples of talent development success.
