- Lead client relationships, respond to emerging needs, and prepare decision-ready reports and presentations
- Develop health and welfare benefits strategies and plan designs; apply market benchmarks and regulatory requirements
- Analyze self-insured financial projections, claims, and utilization data to support rate-setting and contribution decisions
- Lead requests for proposal, vendor selection, renewal, negotiation, and implementation for medical, dental, pharmacy, life, and disability programs
- Manage project delivery, mentor junior professionals, and support broader health and welfare consulting initiatives

Within Workforce Transformation, the Employer Health team advises plan sponsors on health and welfare benefits strategy, plan design, financial management, vendor management, and compliance.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of consulting or brokerage experience focused on United States health and welfare benefits
- 5+ years of underwriting experience supporting financial analysis for health and welfare benefit plans
- 5+ years' experience managing multiple client projects at the same time
- Ability to travel 0-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, business administration, or public health
- Experience evaluating the financial components of pharmacy benefit manager contracts
- Experience supporting United States Total Rewards programs, including compensation and retirement
- Experience using artificial intelligence tools to support benefits analysis, plan documentation, client communications, or process improvement
- Broker's license
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $171,600 to $338,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
