Summary/Objective

The Senior Manager - Financial Reporting position is a high-level financial professional responsible for preparing financial reviews and analyses of operational business lines and segments to support executive-level decision-making on operations. They will also support the accounting and FP&A department with required financial and accounting close-out tasks as required.

Essential Functions

  • Lead a team of 2-3 financial and accounting analysts.
  • Ability to tie financial statement line items to general ledger and cost reports.
  • Manage the financial statement audit.
  • Understanding of accounting debits and credits, cash flow statements, balance sheets, income statements, and footnote disclosures.
  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and/or answering auditors' questions
  • Prepare and analyze records and reports
  • Perform account reconciliations
  • Book monthly activity for related entities

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt position. This position sometimes requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work.

Travel

The role has a preference for travel (30-40%) to project sites to partake in project audits that include review of the project equipment schedule and its costs. Accommodation is made for virtual attendance.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or comparable Business Administration Certification programs.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP).


Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • 1-2 Years of Construction Experience, specifically with the Percentage of Completion accounting.


Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license before employment.
