Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the forecasting process for volume, sales, and EBIT, utilizing automation and AI tools
  • Own the Operating Plan and Long-Term Plan for North America to align with strategic targets

Full Job Description
Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (3 days per week).

The Senior Manager, Finance North America serves as a key strategic finance leader supporting Valvoline Global's commercial, operational, and transformational priorities across the region. This role provides advanced financial stewardship, insight, and partnership to Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Business Development. The position leads commercial deal modeling, drives disciplined operational forecasting, accelerates transformation outcomes, and ensures strong alignment between strategy, execution, and financial performance. This role is essential to enabling North America's long-term value creation and delivery of 2026-2030 objectives.

How You Make an Impact
• Lead North America commercial finance activities in partnership with Sales and Operations, owning the full deal modeling process (including pricing logic, cost assumptions, P&L, cash flow, NPV, IRR, and payback) to ensure alignment with long-term strategy.
• Establish and lead an annual Bid Did process to evaluate major deals against 12-month actual performance, identifying key insights on volume, sales per gallon, profit per gallon, and variances versus original business cases; drive corrective actions and improve future deal design.
• Drive the North Americas Transformation Operating Model by accelerating execution of priority initiatives, ensuring rigor in assumptions, and maintaining transparent benefit tracking. Coordinate closely with Sales, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
• Partner with the VPs of Sales and Supply Chain to deliver North America volume, revenue, and EBIT commitments. Lead the Americas Operating Rhythm to enable early visibility to risks, drive accountability, and guide structured, cross-functional problem solving.
• Co-lead the North America forecasting process for volume, sales, and EBIT with Operations and Supply Chain. Deploy automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy and reduce forecasting cycle time.
• Own the Operating Plan and Long-Term Plan for the region, ensuring alignment between strategy, execution, and financial targets.
• Build and elevate North America Finance talent by identifying high-potential team members, providing coaching and mentorship, and strengthening analytical, operational, and business partnership capabilities.
• Serve as a strategic Finance voice for North America, integrating commercial and operational insights to accelerate decision-making and enhance performance outcomes.
• Expand Finance's influence as a proactive business partner, positioning the function as a driver of growth, operational excellence, and margin improvement across North America.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field required
  • Demonstrated success in commercial, operational, or strategic finance roles supporting large, complex business functions.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation (NPV, IRR, payback), pricing structures, and business case development.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes, supply chain operations, and manufacturing or distribution economics.
  • Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives, including benefit tracking, operational rigor, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, including an ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Strong business partnership capability, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional accountability.
  • Proficiency with forecasting tools, financial systems, automation, and AI-enabled analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience coaching, developing, and elevating finance talent.
  • Excellent communication skills, including preparation of executive-ready analyses and presentations.
