The
Senior Manager, Field Marketing - Interventional Spine (IVS) will lead the Interventional Spine (IVS) Field Marketing function, developing the strategy, capabilities, and execution model that accelerates adoption of the Intracept® Procedure. Through leadership of a geographically dispersed team of Marketing Program Managers, this role ensures national commercial strategies are effectively translated into local execution that drives customer engagement, procedure adoption, and measurable business growth.
As IVS continues to grow and expand its therapy portfolio, this leader will continuously evaluate and evolve the field marketing strategy to ensure programs remain aligned with customer needs, market dynamics, and the therapy's stage of adoption. The role will establish scalable best practices, develop a high-performing team, and build strong partnerships across Sales Leadership, Downstream Marketing, Professional Education, Reimbursement, and Analytics to maximize commercial impact. This position requires approximately 40-60% travel, including overnight travel throughout the United States.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:This position follows an on-site work model and requires employees to work from our Maple Grove, Minnesota office four to five days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:- Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team of field-based Marketing Program Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and commercial excellence.
- Develop and execute the national field marketing strategy to accelerate adoption of the Intracept Procedure while ensuring programs evolve with the therapy's stage of market adoption and customer needs.
- Partner closely with Area Vice Presidents, Regional Business Directors, Territory Managers, and Sales Leadership to align commercial priorities, optimize field execution, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Serve as a player-coach by routinely engaging with customers and accompanying Marketing Program Managers in the field to provide coaching, assess market dynamics, and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
- Evaluate existing field marketing initiatives, identify opportunities for innovation, and lead the development, refinement, and implementation of scalable programs that improve customer engagement and commercial impact.
- Partner with Downstream Marketing to successfully deploy new marketing initiatives, campaigns, and commercial programs, ensuring consistent adoption and execution across the field organization.
- Establish key performance indicators and leverage data, customer insights, and field feedback to measure program effectiveness, optimize marketing investments, and communicate business impact to senior leadership.
- Manage field marketing resources and budget to maximize return on investment while ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Professional Education, Reimbursement, Analytics, Sales Leadership, and other commercial partners to ensure coordinated execution of customer-facing initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and key customers while serving as the voice of the field to influence future marketing strategy, resource prioritization, and commercial decision-making.
Required qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, commercial leadership, sales, market development, or related roles within the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Minimum of 5+ years of direct people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Experience developing and executing commercial or field marketing programs that drive customer adoption and business growth.
- Demonstrated experience partnering effectively with sales organizations and cross-functional commercial teams to execute strategic initiatives.
- Experience managing budgets, measuring program performance, and using data and analytics to optimize commercial investments.
- Ability to travel approximately 40-60%, including overnight travel throughout the United States.
Preferred qualifications:- Experience leading geographically dispersed, field-based marketing or commercial teams.
- Medical device marketing experience with demonstrated success supporting procedure adoption or market development initiatives.
- Experience launching new commercial programs, driving organizational change, and successfully implementing initiatives across a field sales organization.
- Strong understanding of downstream marketing, market development, customer engagement strategies, and commercialization within a medical device environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable processes, identify best practices, and continuously improve commercial execution.
- Experience working within high-growth businesses or supporting therapies progressing through different stages of market adoption.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior commercial leaders without direct authority.
