Salary Range:

$116,823.00 - $186,917.00 The Senior Manager for Executive Donor Strategy & Engagement serves as a strategic liaison between the President & CEO's Office and the Institutional Advancement team, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and momentum across high-level relationships.
This role is responsible for managing donor-related processes connected to the CEO's engagement, translating executive interactions into actionable next steps, and ensuring alignment across development officers, advancement operations, and executive leadership. The position plays a critical role in maximizing the effectiveness of CEO donor engagement in support of Albany Med Health System's philanthropic goals, and requires strong judgment, discretion, and fluency in development practices, as well as upholding the utmost confidentiality.
While the primary focus is the President & CEO, this role will also provide limited support to donor engagement involving the Hospital Director and Dean, as appropriate.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

CEO Donor Strategy, Follow-Up & Accountability
  • Track and manage follow-up from all donor and prospect interactions involving the CEO.
  • Document meeting outcomes, commitments, and next steps to ensure timely and appropriate action.
  • Monitor outstanding action items and proactively manage timelines to maintain momentum across executive-level relationships.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks emerging from CEO engagements and elevate insights to Foundation leadership.
Contact Reporting & CRM Management
  • Prepare, enter, and maintain high-quality contact reports for CEO donor interactions.
  • Update donor biographical, relationship, and engagement information in the donor database.
  • Work with Development Officers to ensure donor records accurately reflect strategy, interests, and institutional relationships.
Internal Coordination & Communication
  • Notify and collaborate with the appropriate development officer or Institutional Advancement staff following CEO interactions.
  • Coordinate next steps including follow-up meetings, proposals, stewardship actions, and solicitations.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between the CEO’s Office and Institutional Advancement.
  • Scheduling & Calendar Coordination
  • Partner closely with the Executive Assistant to the CEO to coordinate donor meetings and engagements.
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and preparation timelines for CEO donor interactions and other Institutional Advancement engagement opportunities.
Donor Strategy & Executive Support
  • Assist the VP of Institutional Advancement with materials, agendas, and briefing documents for donor strategy sessions involving the CEO.
  • Support prospect strategy meetings by ensuring clarity of objectives, roles, and follow-up actions.
Board & Executive-Level Donor Engagement
  • Coordinate CEO-focused donor and board engagement activities, including:
  • Cogswell Dinner
  • Board Retreats
  • Board receptions
  • Board gifts and holiday cards
  • Other high-level cultivation and stewardship events involving Board and Executive Level engagement.
  • Manage timelines, logistics, and coordination with internal and external partners.
Expanded Executive Support (Secondary Focus)
  • Provide limited donor management and coordination support for the Albany Medical Center Hospital General Director and Albany Medical College Dean, using the same standards of documentation, follow-up, and collaboration.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - required
  • 5+ years of experience in advancement, donor relations, executive support, or a related field. - required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and managing complex donor or stakeholder relationships. - required
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience with donor databases/CRMs and contact reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment.
