Are you a seasoned credit professional looking to make an enterprise-wide impact?

At Zions Bancorporation, we are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Credit Administrator to join our team in Denver. In this critical leadership role, you will act as the cornerstone of Credit Administration for our Colorado market, driving high-level decision-making for large, complex lending transactions and shaping credit management best practices across the organization.

What You Will Do
  • Lead with Authority: Execute senior-level credit administration and decision-making for a variety of large, complex lending transactions.
  • Drive Quality & Excellence: Ensure consistent, top-tier quality in credit account and portfolio management, analyses, presentations, risk grading, and loan documentation.
  • Act as a Strategic Consultant: Serve as a vital oversight and approval resource, dedicated to elevating credit management across the enterprise.
  • Champion Best Practices: Foster continuous process improvement, proactive risk escalation, and support comprehensive credit training activities.
  • Mitigate Risk proactively: Prioritize emerging portfolio risks, establish timely risk communication, and monitor QA reviews, audits, and regulatory exams to implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Optimize Performance: Analyze assigned portfolio performance and assess product risk and return to promote cost-effective, high-impact management practices.
  • Collaborate at the Highest Levels: Participate actively in the Senior Loan Forum and other crucial approval processes, ensuring strict adherence to banking laws, regulations, and accounting policies.


What You Bring to the Table
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. (An advanced degree is highly preferred).*
  • Experience: 12+ years of directly related financial services experience. (A combination of education and experience may satisfy requirements).*
  • Deep Expertise: Exceptional institutional credit acumen, with a proven track record of structuring and underwriting a wide range of complex credit transactions across Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), or other specialty lending areas.
  • Versatility: Demonstrated experience not only in underwriting large, complex deals but also in successfully navigating loan workouts and managing problem loans.

Pay range for this position is $225,000 -315,000 depending on experience and education
