Full Job Description
Job title: Senior Manager, Commercial Finance

Location: hybrid, Hoboken

Your role:

This is a high-impact commercial finance leadership role at the heart of our North America business. You will be the trusted finance partner to Sales and Marketing, shaping decisions across forecasting, trade investment, pricing, brand spend and innovation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a Finance Analyst, you will connect financial discipline with commercial opportunity. You will help leadership understand where we are winning, where we need to change course, and which actions will deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Your key responsibilities:

Shape the commercial plan
  • Lead Finance input into the monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle across the United States, Canada and Mexico, aligning volume, price, mix and trade assumptions with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.
  • Own the monthly top-line forecast from gross sales to net revenue, including latest estimates against the annual operating plan.
  • Turn risks and opportunities into clear recommendations and practical gap-closing plans for leadership.
  • Lead net revenue, trade and advertising and promotion inputs into the annual operating plan and three-year plan.

Own trade investment and customer profitability
  • Own the trade budget by customer and channel, tracking performance against plan and forecast.
  • Lead month-end trade accruals, reconcile balances, and partner with Deductions and Accounts Receivable on customer claims and post-audits.
  • Evaluate promotions before and after events, using return-on-investment analysis to improve future plans.
  • Maintain customer profit and loss statements and clear gross-to-net reporting.

Drive revenue growth management
  • Partner with Revenue Growth Management and Sales on pricing, pack-price architecture, mix and promotional strategy.
  • Model the profit and loss impact of pricing decisions, including volume elasticity and likely customer and competitor responses.
  • Track price, mix and net revenue per unit by market, customer and channel, explaining performance and recommending action.
  • Review trade terms and customer investment levels to identify margin improvement opportunities.

Guide brand investment and innovation
  • Own budgeting, tracking and control of brand and marketing investment, with a strong focus on strategic alignment and return.
  • Proactively flag risks and opportunities, recommend corrective action, and own month-end advertising and promotion accruals by brand.
  • Build financial business cases for new products, covering volume, margin, trade and launch investment.
  • Track launch performance against the approved case and recommend whether to continue, correct or exit underperforming initiatives.

Lead with strong controls and develop the team
  • Maintain effective controls over trade and brand investment, and support internal and external audits.
  • Coach and develop the Finance Analyst by setting priorities, reviewing output, providing regular feedback and building capability in forecasting, trade and reporting.

What we are looking for:
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 4 years in commercial or sales finance within consumer packaged goods or beverages.
  • Hands-on ownership of trade spend accruals, gross-to-net reporting and customer profit and loss statements, together with pricing and price-mix analysis.
  • Experience leading Finance input into Sales & Operations Planning or demand forecasting.
  • Experience supporting more than one country. Exposure to Canada or Mexico and multi-currency reporting is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline. CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, with Power BI and Power Query capability.
  • Experience with an enterprise resource planning system, preferably SAP, and trade promotion management tools.
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen or Circana data for promotion and innovation analysis.
  • Clear, concise communication and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • A constructive challenger who combines commercial curiosity, sound judgement, ownership and a collaborative approach.

What's in it for you:
  • A visible role with direct access to senior commercial and finance leadership.
  • Real ownership across the North America commercial agenda, with the opportunity to influence pricing, investment, innovation and growth decisions.
  • A broad remit in a lean, international organization where good ideas can move quickly.
  • The opportunity to lead and develop a Finance Analyst while expanding your own commercial leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package
