Senior Manager, Bioanalytical Lead ScientistLocation: Madison, WI,

Job ResponsibilitiesLeadership & People Management- Lead and develop teams of bioanalytical scientists focused on LC-MS in support of preclinical and clinical studies.
- Provide performance management, coaching, career development, and succession planning for direct reports.
- Establish training plans and ensure team readiness for current and future business needs.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for scientific staff.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture.
Scientific & Technical Leadership- Serve as a subject matter expert in LC-MS/MS bioanalysis.
- Support internal teams and clients through scientific consultation and problem-solving.
- Stay current with emerging bioanalytical technologies, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
- Partner with commercial and project teams on study strategy, feasibility assessments, and client interactions.
Operational Excellence- Ensure laboratory activities are appropriately resourced, scheduled, and executed to meet client timelines.
- Monitor departmental metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support forecasting, project costing, and revenue recognition activities.
- Ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions as needed to address operational or client concerns.
Client Engagement- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Participate in sponsor meetings, scientific discussions, and business development activities.
- Represent the organization at scientific conferences and industry events.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Significant experience, 5 years or more in regulated LC-MS bioanalysis.
- 5 years or more of demonstrated success leading scientific teams in a regulated laboratory environment.
- 3 years or more experience working in a GLP, GCP, and bioanalytical regulatory requirements role.
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- 6 years or more of experience managing people leaders in larger scientific organizations.
- 6 years or more experience driving operational improvements, business metrics, and laboratory productivity initiatives.
- Documented scientific publications, conference presentations, or recognized technical expertise in bioanalysis.
Additional Job Skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- GLP/GCP and bioanalytical regulatory requirements experience.
Salary: $130,000 - 150,000 annually
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan.
(Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.)
