Position: Senior Manager, Automation Engineering
Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Operational Excellence: Assesses situations based on awareness of the goals and operating issues of own department. Seeks guidance when assigned goals conflict with departmental goals or the overall strategy. Documents regulatory and reporting requirements. Resolves obstacles related to goals of own department. Understands the importance of and implementation of One Best Way and Standard Operating Procedure information. Identifies safety hazards and anomalies during the operations processes and reports to supervisor. Data and Digital Literacy: Leverages data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data, develops and tests hypotheses, uses data to influence strategic work, and builds and presents insights. Identifies, implements, and drives technology change within scope of work. Uses visualization tools to represent data and construct coherent stories to influence decisions. Partnership and Collaboration: Builds, maintains, and enhances effective internal and external partnerships. Influences outcomes and assists in communicating shared goals with groups and parties. Mechatronics: Updates existing CAD drawings based on requirements. Describes common drafting conventions, tools, procedures, and processes. Identifies basic functions and features of a design and visualization system. Navigates and troubleshoots control systems. Identifies electrical design concepts and techniques used in supply chains. Cites examples of usage or application of electrical design in automating supply chain processes. Demonstrates knowledge of wiring schematics, ensuring they meet requirements and are compliant. Describes common mechanical components of Distribution Center and Fulfillment Center equipment. Names basic tools or technologies used in mechanical engineering.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and 4 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
Skills required:Must have experience with: Developing and packaging Java libraries for use in the simulation of material handling systems; Creating scripts in Python to generate, clean up, and process data and produce output files; Designing and developing discrete-event simulation models; Designing and developing agent-based simulation models; Building complex simulation models of material-handling systems using AnyLogic; Developing Python-based Revit Dynamo scripts to extract information from Revit models; Using and navigating 3D models built on Autodesk Revit; Utilizing Maven to manage, package, and build framework architecture of Simulation packages; Managing codebases using Git; Modularizing, extracting, and packaging code for use in Simulation models; Exporting simulation models to a cloud container to be run as part of a pipeline; Implementing search algorithms including A* and Dijkstra's in simulation models; Integrating different systems and processes written in different languages and with different tools into one simulation model from 3D layout generation to output files and logs; Enterprise architecture, integration patterns, data models, and algorithms; Refactoring, integrating, and maintaining legacy codebases, and transforming them into Java packages and AnyLogic models; Building simulation models with the customer interaction solutions being the core design parameter. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Rate of pay: $110,000.00 - 220,000.00/year
