Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintains team motivation and engagement. Mentors less experienced associates and managers. Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners to understand goals/functional objectives, understand and identify key business issues and formulate ideas to mitigate current and future business challenges/issues; confirms functional research objectives and oversees development of tactical research plans. Manages the creation of and presents actionable recommendations to Sr. Directors/Directors to contribute to business results. Serves as a subject matter expert to the business on market insights. Project Scope: Owns multiple projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multiple projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Data Collection and Analysis: Manages the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and supports data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis. Supports more experienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams to develop consultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interacts on a daily basis, and collaborates with external business partners and vendors.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field plus 1 year of experience in data analytics or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: coding in Python and R to develop data models for demand forecasting and inventory optimization, including writing reusable scripts to automate supply chain analytics; developing network optimization models using Gurobi to evaluate distribution footprint scenarios, capacity throughput, and transportation flows; designing and deploying statistical demand forecasting models to improve category service levels by aligning vendor lead times and inventory targets; creating and maintaining data pipelines and analytics workflows to process large datasets and support new product introductions and supply chain transformation programs; building reporting dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel to track business KPIs such as service levels, inventory turns, and cost-to-serve; executing inventory optimization initiatives to reduce days-on-hand and improve working capital utilization across distribution centers; designing procurement and vendor management strategies, including RFQ execution, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation; developing supply planning models (weekly and monthly) to optimize warehouse utilization and reduce reliance on third-party facilities; applying data analytics to identify business opportunities and cost savings; collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, sourcing, and operations) to design and implement large-scale supply chain strategies and transformation programs. Rate of pay: $126,485.00 - 180,000.00/year
