Job Purpose:

DHL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to support our legal counsel team in Plantation, FL. Your responsibilities will include legal, administrative and analytical duties. If you have a positive attitude and strong attention to detail then we are waiting to hear from you.

The Senior Paralegal - Transactions provides high-level support to attorneys on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and transactional matters. This role is responsible for managing complex legal documentation, coordinating deal execution, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling sophisticated business transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Your Tasks:
  • Under attorney supervision and in accordance with approved templates, playbooks, and internal policies, draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of transactional documents, including NDAs, customer agreements, vendor agreements, purchase agreements, service contracts, and amendments.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders regarding contract status, issues, approvals and next steps.
  • Work with business teams, finance, tax, compliance, subject matter experts, outside counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve contract-related problems that may arise with other parties internally.
  • Coordinate execution of contracts and ensure proper record retention and filing.
  • Use approved contract templates, playbooks, clause guidance, and other legal resources to support consistent and efficient contract review and negotiation of third party paper.
  • Use contract lifecycle management tools and related systems to support contract intake, review, approvals, execution, tracking, and record retention.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist in identifying legal and business risks, support mitigation efforts and escalate issues to attorneys and appropriate business stakeholders as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including outside counsel.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence and coordination, as needed.
  • Support the Transactions Team as needed and assist with other legal department initiatives from time to time.
Your Profile
  • B.S./B.A. preferred; paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training a plus.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department supporting commercial transactions and contract review.
  • Significant experience supporting commercial transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating, organizational, and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Responsive to deadlines regarding transactions in various stages of development and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical, and client-focused support to manager, legal department, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of corporate transactional terms, processes, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management tools, and database or document management systems is a plus.
  • Experience with AI-assisted contract review tools or other legal technology is a plus.
