About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Lead Quantitative Analytics Specialist to perform model development in areas such as collections or pricing in the Auto Finance sector.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and documentation of complex statistical, predictive, and machine learning models.
  • Develop quantitative solutions to assess risk, forecast losses, optimize pricing, and improve portfolio performance.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on complex quantitative analytics initiatives and business challenges.
  • Drive innovative modeling strategies that support both near-term business objectives and long-term growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in quantitative methodologies, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques.
  • Partner with business, risk, model governance, and validation teams to ensure effective model implementation and oversight.
  • Support model governance activities, including documentation, monitoring, validation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal audit, model risk management, compliance, and regulatory partners.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience developing pricing, collections, credit risk, or fraud models within the Auto Finance industry.
  • Advanced SAS, Python or equivalent programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience developing complex, segmented models within a team environment.
  • Experience with model governance, validation processes, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience developing and implementing predictive, statistical, or machine learning models within financial services.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
