Full Job Description
The Role -

As a Right of Way (ROW) Specialist, you will lead property and property rights acquisition activities supporting utility, transmission, substation, transportation, and infrastructure projects. This technical expert develops acquisition strategies, manages landowner negotiations, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate possesses extensive Project Management experience in Right of Way, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to lead complex acquisition efforts involving multiple stakeholders. This position works closely with clients, engineers, legal counsel, surveyors, appraisers, and landowners throughout all phases of the acquisition process

What You'll Do

  • Lead acquisition of easements, fee acquisitions, licenses, permits, and other land rights required for project execution.
  • Review title reports, ownership records, survey documents, legal descriptions, and engineering plans.
  • Conduct complex negotiations with property owners and stakeholders.
  • Resolve landowner concerns and develop mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Develop and execute project specific acquisition strategies.
  • Manage acquisition schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Track project metrics and provide status updates to clients and leadership.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Serve as POC for assigned clients and collaborate with necessary teams


What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Right of Way, Land Acquisition, Real Estate, Utility, Energy, Transportation, or Infrastructure project experience.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating easements and property acquisitions.
  • Experience managing multiple acquisition projects simultaneously, and in client coordination
  • Experience working directly with utility, transmission, pipeline, transportation, or public infrastructure projects preferred.
  • RWP designation required, SRWA preferred | Real Estate License Required (Indiana or applicable project states) - Must be willing to obtain licensure in other states | Notary Public
  • Proven expertise in Right of Way acquisition, title review, easement acquisition, and landowner negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local ROW regulations.
  • Ability to travel upon request
