Position Description: CGI is looking for a self-motivated Senior KDB Developer to join an established team supporting a core system for our large financial client
Looking for a Hands-on Senior Developer with domain experience at least in Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Mortgage, Securities or Loans and development experience in application development in KDB, REST API, Spring and Oracle.
This position is located at client site in Cary, NC - Onsite is mandatory.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Develop and maintain KDB+ applications supporting tick architecture pipelines
. Support market data ingestion, normalization and downstream redistribution
. Provide L3 production support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
. Contribute to BAU engineering, QA and DevOps workflows (CI/CD, deployment, monitoring)
. Collaborate with global teams across EMEA, US and APAC to deliver platform enhancements
Develop key components of the FX MI and Analytics platform
. Ensure resilience, scalability and performance optimization of market data platforms
. Participate in architecture discussions and continuous platform improvement initiatives
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Must have a minimum of 5+ years of IT experience
. Minimum 1+ year hands on KDB+ development experience
. KX Academy Level 3 certification (or equivalent)
. Familiarity with KDB+ tick architecture and real time data processing
. Experience in market data environments (ingestion, enrichment, distribution)
. Understanding of L3 support models and production environments
. Exposure to DevOps practices (automation, release, monitoring)
. Strong collaboration and communication skills in global teams
. Exposure to vendor data sources (e.g. LSEG, Bloomberg, ICE)
. Experience in high volume, low latency data systems
. Multi-disciplinary capability across Dev, QA, and DevOps
. Experience working in globally distributed teams

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $156,700.00.
