Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the primary responsibility area, complemented by working knowledge of Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in cloud administration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and identity management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

GCP Infrastructure Administration (Primary)
  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Implement best practices for scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Administer core GCP services including Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, and Network Services.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts for provisioning and configuration automation.
  • Integrate IaC artifacts into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined, repeatable deployments.

Azure Cloud (Secondary)
  • Provide support for select Azure-based workloads and services.
  • Assist with hybrid-cloud initiatives, including integration, workload placement, and cloud migration projects.

Identity & Access Management
  • Utilize Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for authentication, identity lifecycle, and access governance.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies, compliance frameworks, and governance controls.

System Administration
  • Oversee administration of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

Qualifications

Primary Skills
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration, including Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, and networking preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform, including automated provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD integration preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM architectures, and governance practices for large-scale environments preferred.

Secondary Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and administration preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity, authentication, and access control preferred.

Additional Technical Skills
  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash preferred.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration preferred.
  • Broad experience with Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization, monitoring tools, backup technologies, and disaster recovery methods preferred.

Preferred Certifications
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Engineer preferred.
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (optional but beneficial) preferred.
