Job Title : Senior IT Project ManagerPosition Overview Lead high-visibility strategic technology initiatives that span multiple years and involve large cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, and vendor partnerships. This role is responsible for driving successful project delivery through strong leadership, governance, planning, and stakeholder collaboration.
What You'll Do - Lead strategic projects and programs with executive-level visibility and accountability.
- Manage stakeholder and vendor engagement, including executive communications and monthly sponsor meetings.
- Monitor project cost, quality, schedule, risks, and overall project health.
- Develop project plans, staffing strategies, and lifecycle reporting from initiation through closeout.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, and cross-functional project teams.
- Escalate risks and issues to executive leadership when appropriate.
- Ensure project execution aligns with established project management methodology and organizational governance.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience working effectively in team environments within matrix organizations.
- 5+ years of experience resolving complex, high-priority conflicts and competing requirements.
- 5+ years of experience applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience with system development methodologies for building new systems and enhancing existing information systems.
- 5+ years of experience communicating stakeholder needs clearly and effectively.
- 5+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying problems, and developing actionable solutions.
- 5+ years of experience communicating across teams, building consensus, facilitating working sessions, and negotiating outcomes.
- 5+ years of experience managing stakeholder relationships, maintaining positive interactions, and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience working in a government or public sector environment.
- Experience serving in Project Manager, Program Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar leadership/support roles.
