Summary:

The Senior Project Manager has overall responsibility for the day to day management of assigned programs/projects and is responsible for project management and facilitation of one or more high priority or medium to high complexity project(s), mission-critical enterprise-wide initiatives,and/or continuous business improvement items. Responsibilities:

  • Leads large, enterprise-wide projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Defines project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in partnership with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants to achieve project milestones and commitments.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and support to project teams while promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Manages project budgets, risks, issues, scope changes, and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develops and delivers executive-level status reports, presentations, documentation, and project communications.
  • Drives organizational change management efforts and champions business process improvements across the enterprise.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with executives, stakeholders, business partners, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Establishes and promotes project management best practices, governance standards, methodologies, and process improvements.
  • Uses strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills to resolve complex challenges and support strategic business goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Nursing, Health Information Technology or related field of study is required.
  • Five to nine or more years as a Project Manager is required. Project Management in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple large, complex projects is required.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and vendor resources is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is required (or within 6 months of hire date).
