Position Summary

Vizia Diagnostics is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Information Technology to lead and oversee the organization's IT function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing healthcare organization and play a key role in shaping the technology strategy, infrastructure, security, and support services that enable business success.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and forward-thinking technology leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This individual will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership skills to develop a high-performing IT team while driving operational excellence and innovation across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior Manager, Information Technology will lead a small internal IT team while managing third-party technology service providers. This role supports both internal employees and external clients utilizing Vizia's laboratory information system (LIS) data transfer technologies and interoperability solutions.

This position is based onsite in Alpharetta, Georgia, with occasional travel (up to 10%) to meet with clients and business partners.
Specific Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, procedures, and governance practices.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage departmental budgets, technology investments, and financial forecasting.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports.
  • Support technology due diligence, infrastructure planning, and system integration for acquisitions and organizational growth initiatives.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of onsite and remote IT professionals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and professional development planning.
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build organizational IT capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
  • Oversee enterprise technology operations, including:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft 365
    • SaaS platforms
    • Cloud infrastructure
    • Automation solutions
    • Emerging AI technologies
  • Ensure systems remain secure, scalable, reliable, and highly available.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and operational effectiveness.
Project & Vendor Management
  • Lead enterprise technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional business leaders to deliver strategic technology initiatives.
  • Manage third-party IT vendors, including contract oversight, service delivery, and performance management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Data & Business Intelligence
  • Develop reporting metrics and dashboards that support informed decision-making.
  • Lead business intelligence, analytics, and data aggregation initiatives.
  • Improve organizational visibility through reporting and operational analytics.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain appropriate IT controls, policies, and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate technology-related risks while promoting cybersecurity best practices throughout the organization.
User & Client Support
  • Serve as a trusted technology partner across the organization.
  • Provide consultative support and technical guidance to internal users.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with external clients and business stakeholders.
  • Support client-facing technology solutions, including laboratory interoperability and data exchange platforms.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel occasionally (up to 10%) to meet with clients and business partners.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing IT teams.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting technology operations within a healthcare laboratory or pathology environment.
  • Experience with:
    • NovoPath 360
    • NovoPath Interoperability Platform (DXE)
    • HL7
    • FHIR
    • Azure
    • Microsoft Power BI
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.


Physical Requirements
