Senior IT Financial Performance Analyst

As a Senior IT Financial Performance Analyst, you will play a key role in monitoring the financial and operational performance of IT teams. You will contribute to the achievement of business objectives by acting as a trusted business partner to managers and by delivering analyses, forecasts, and recommendations that support informed decision-making.

What You Will Accomplish with Us

As a Senior IT Financial Performance Analyst, you will be at the heart of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Providing the sector Delivery Lead with a consolidated view of all financial indicators (expense monitoring, variances, etc.) and operational indicators (e.g., workforce tracking, capacity management, timesheet quality, actual consultant rates), as well as relevant performance trends.
  • Acting as a liaison with delivery team managers (directors, assistant directors, etc.) and supporting them by providing information, services, and guidance to help maximize financial and organizational performance.
  • Conducting various analyses, including sector expenses, project credit rates, overhead allocation, and other ad hoc management analyses; making recommendations, communicating impacts, and developing action plans when required.
  • Producing management reports, analyzing variances, ensuring discrepancies are addressed, and recommending actions to the Senior Director and the sector management committee.
  • Preparing forecasts, documenting and communicating them, and advising managers when variances occur.
  • Developing and presenting the annual IT budget for the sector.
  • Supporting other Performance Analysts in the resolution of complex issues and projects.
  • Working closely with Portfolio Management teams, particularly in the development of Lean Business Cases (LBCs) and Strategic Business Cases (SBCs).
  • Improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency through automation.
  • Ensuring the application and deployment of policies and guidelines.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Has a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Is recognized for strong analytical skills and the ability to transform complex data into clear and meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to present analyses to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Shows a high level of rigor, attention to detail, and a results- and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership, collaboration, and influence with business partners.
  • Has a strong interest in the field of Information Technology.
  • Is autonomous, proactive, creative, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Holds a CPA designation (an asset).
  • Has knowledge of Power BI, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), and/or Planning Cloud (an asset).
  • Has an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the incumbent will be required to deliver presentations, participate in discussions, and draft emails with internal partners on a weekly basis.
