Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled, Senior Windows Systems & Active Directory Administrator to lead the design, administration, security, and optimization of our enterprise Windows Server and Active Directory environment. This role will have significant responsibility for management and maintenance of Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and VMware virtualization, as well as patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance-leveraging enterprise tools such as Qualys, Tanium, and BigFix. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership ability, driving critical projects, ensuring system integrity, and aligning with organizational technology and security standards.
Must-Have Requirements
• Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory administration, including Domain Controllers, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI.
• Proven experience with enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation using tools such as Qualys, Tanium, and/or BigFix.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture, replication, and Group Policy management, with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in large enterprise environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization skills for Windows Server environments, including authentication services and directory components.
• Experience leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security remediation projects in compliance-driven organizations.
Scripting/automation proficiency using PowerShell for patch deployment, vulnerability remediation, and system configuration tasks.
Nice-to-Have (Good-to-Have) Skills
• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) solutions and integrations, including MFA, SSO, and federation (e.g., SAML, Entra ID, PingID).
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and zero-trust architecture.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies for both Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Strong documentation and mentoring skills to train junior administrators and maintain accurate system and process records.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a technical lead for critical migration or infrastructure projects.
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, including hardware, system backups, updates, virtualization environments, and directory services.
• Manage enterprise-level Active Directory environments, including cloud-related technologies such as Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and identity federation tools like PingID.
• Design and maintain GPOs, DNS/DHCP configurations, PKI services, and Active Directory replication.
• Administer, secure, and maintain enterprise-level Windows Server and Active Directory infrastructure.
• Manage patch deployment cycles, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities using Qualys and Tanium.
• Monitor and resolve vulnerabilities in accordance with security and compliance requirements.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects, including migrations, consolidation, and virtualization initiatives (VMware and cloud-based platforms).
• Automate administrative tasks and patching processes via PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to align patching and vulnerability management with security policies.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and architectural decisions.

Salary Range*:
$113,500.00 - $170,300.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
