Full Job Description
POSITION: Senior Interior Designer - reporting to the Director of Interior Design & Project Purchasing

This position is in the center of the action & is a pivotal role in determining & completing all projects in a timely and accurate manner. Travel for on-site co-ordination & installation should be expected for at least 25% of your time. In-office collaboration required with hybrid "work from home" options available depending on projects. Strong AutoCAD, MS Office and Leadership skills are required for this hands-on senior position.

What your day will look like:
• Produce, review & correct within timely schedules on Interior Design technical CAD drawings consisting of plans, elevations, sections, details, millwork, lighting, electrical & power, that are accurately coordinated with the consultant drawings.
• Coordinate with ID Dept., Facilities & Construction Management for the installation of purchased goods. Traveling to project locations to oversee installation of design materials as needed.
• Prepare budgets and proposals.
• Assist in determining yearly Capital Expenditures
• Assist in updating the offices material and FF&E library.
• Develop small & large renovations and new build projects.
• Produce, send, record & track purchase orders to order materials, goods, and supplies for all your projects & the yearly CAPEX, then review order acknowledgements, proformas, invoices & deliveries against the orders.
• Deal with non supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
• Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
• Produce and maintain all reports.
• Ability to suggest alternate product for approval to produce cost/time savings, negotiating improved pricing wherever possible.
• Produce & supply maintenance guidelines & MDSD Sheets for purchased goods when required.
• Research materials to support the Highgate team on technical issues influencing design development.
• Select materials & produce specifications of FF&E
• Compile up to date records for all projects & during projects progress.
• Maintain any diaries that are in the office & undertake all filing as required.
• Arrange and attend meetings, taking minutes if necessary.
• Prepare marketing materials such as 2D & 3D floor plans, project presentations & display boards.
• Reconcile & submit all p-card transactions & expenses by the deadline each month.
• Maintain & submit by the payroll cut-off deadlines an accurate record of hours worked, allocated to each specific project.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

We're Looking for Someone Who:
• Holds a degree or diploma in Interior Design.
• A minimum of 8 years professional experience in a design firm.
• Responsible for leading and promoting excellence in design, applying industry-leading expertise in Senior Living or hospitality and multi-family sectors.
• Must be willing & able to travel as required within the USA & Canada, hold a valid passport & drivers' licence.

Salary Ranges:
Minimum 8 years of professional interior design experience, (domestic experience preferred): $80,000 - $100,000.
Acknowledging the time employees typically spend in the role, compensation is dependent on applicable years of experience and skillset.
