The Opportunity:

CACI is searching for a Senior Installation Technician to support a worldwide engineering, operations, and tech refresh contract supporting Enterprise IT (EIT) capabilities and functions for our Intelligence Community (IC) customer.

As a team, we will be responsible for operations, future technologies, engineering and Tier 2/3 support, break/fix, and tech refresh activities to develop and maintain agency wide capabilities on a global basis.

This position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for installing and configuring new equipment and systems as well as the des-installation of old equipment. Supervises installation, assembly, configuration and de-installation work done by other technicians.
    • Equipment includes, but is not limited to workstations, monitors, voice and video communication devices, mobile devices and docking stations, and peripherals used in IC office environments. Must be familiar with current operations and be adaptable and knowledgeable enough to drive changes.
  • Builds and maintains personnel schedules to ensure customer timelines are met. Coordinates with site leads to ensure personnel have access to worksites.
  • Independently investigates equipment and system failures to determine the cause and repair work required. Oversees the troubleshooting efforts of a team.
  • Knowledgeable in IC IT equipment and systems and IT assets accountability processes and systems within the facilities. Supports the innovation of equipment, systems, procedures and controls in the facility.
  • Understand and interpret existing SOPs. Draft and guide drafting of future SOPs.
  • Must follow DIA and commercial best practice procedures required for installation of and testing required during installation.
  • Must be able to work well with others and communicate with employees and supervisors.
  • Use basic system administrator skills.
  • Use Excel and Microsoft Word, input data into databases and create and maintain cable records as jobs proceed and formalize at completion.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects and is able to travel to project sites as required.
  • Walking long distances for long periods of time, lifting material up to 50 pounds, loading equipment onto carts or shelves, moving equipment to work locations, unloading equipment, mounting of equipment into racks and trash removal.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Proven track record in the deployment and maintenance of extensive global networks and systems.
  • A thorough grasp of IC ITE services with a minimum of five years of hands-on IT experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in equipment, software, and systems installations; troubleshooting, customer relationship management, change management, risk management, and IT service management.
  • A minimum of Security+ is required, with ITIL certification desired.
  • Proficiency in classified IT environments, terminology, Equipment Life Cycles and IT Asset Management is a key asset.
