Senior Project Engineer - Integrated Solutions

MHS Lift is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our rapidly growing Integrated Solutions team. In this role, you'll help design and implement cutting-edge automation solutions that modernize warehouses and distribution operations across North America.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Project Engineer, you'll serve as a technical leader throughout the solution development and implementation process. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead relationships with automation vendors, including conveyor, AMR/AGV, robotics, and software providers.
  • Develop innovative automation solutions that align with customer operational and financial objectives.
  • Conduct customer site assessments and discovery meetings with the sales team.
  • Mentor engineering and sales teams on automation technologies, design principles, and industry best practices.
  • Support the creation of system layouts, engineering drawings, proposals, and solution presentations.
  • Oversee engineering, approvals, and order processing for automation projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to establish project milestones, sequencing, and successful project execution.
  • Support system commissioning and startup activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in final project walkthroughs and client acceptance.
  • Build long-term customer relationships while delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing material handling or warehouse automation solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Conveyor systems
    • Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
    • Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
    • Robotics
    • Warehouse automation technologies
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, operational, and CAD drawings.
  • Experience developing technical solutions for warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
