Job Description:

Microchip Technology currently has an opening for an exciting career in the Analog IP Validation group. The candidate will be joining an experienced team of Analog Validation engineers that perform limit testing on the newest analog IP development. We work directly with our design team to ensure the designs exceed the needs of our customers. This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following activities:
• Lead Validation projects.
• Collaborate internationally with groups such as Architecture, IP Design, Analog Library, FA, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering.
• Analog circuit PCB design.
• Implement automated lab test bench setups using NI TestStand / LabView.
• Create, maintain, and review test procedures and validation plans.
• Collect, analyze, and post-process analog test data; prepare test reports and related documentation.
• Python code development.
• Communicate weekly status updates to peers and leadership.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 7.5 + years of relevant industry experience. More junior applicants will be considered for other levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in Analog IC Validation.
  • Experience working with prototype Analog ICs, boards and HW infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a lab environment and knowledge of relevant test equipment for analog measurements.
  • Experience in debug and investigation of Analog circuit environments.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of LabVIEW/TestStand software.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting in Python
  • Strong knowledge of working with Spectrum Analyzers performing Noise and Jitter measurements.
  • Experience using Altium
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and GIT.
