Full Job Description
Primary Purpose of this Job

The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for outcomes in the areas of HR generalist activities, leadership development, performance management, retention, labor relations and employee relations for the ATI Specialty Materials Monroe Division. This role is also responsible for ensuring that all human resources policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered and enforced. Directly leads the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBPs) for the Monroe, Pageland and Richburg facilities.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
  • Supervise and develop HR talent through providing effective leadership, development, coaching and guidance to the HR Business Partners at each facility.
  • Influence the overall people strategy for improved business results, better employee engagement and leadership effectiveness.
  • Protect union free environment through effective employee relations policies and practices.
  • Manage and lead the coaching, counseling, advice, and risk assessment on HR/employee related issues for staff and management.
  • Oversee the implementation of all human resources policies, procedures, and programs ensuring they are consistently administered and enforced, in line with the company's goals, best practice, and compliant with various professional standards and local/regional regulations.
  • Responsible for implementation and/or development of all HR programs and initiatives at assigned facilities including leadership development, performance management, retention, and employee relations, in support of business success.
  • Manage the ongoing and annual performance management process, including merit processes and documentation.
  • Ensure effective employee communications and training occur for employees and leaders.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within HR to improve on efficiencies of HR processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for vendor selection and management, as assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education Required
  • 4-year College Degree (or equivalent experience)


Experience Required
  • 7 years of leadership experience within an HR function
  • 3 years of supervisor or management experience with HR professionals
  • Experience developing and delivering training to employees and managers.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, labor relations and bargaining, and union/management relations is preferred.

Certification and Licensing Requirements
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Knowledge of:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
  • General business acumen, with demonstrate analytical and creative thinking ability.
  • Background or familiarity with employment law or other government compliance regulations.

  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.
  • Superior analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
