JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Serves as the senior strategic Human Resources advisor to Operations leadership, providing guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, talent planning, and business objectives across a multi-property portfolio.
- Partners with senior operational leaders and executive leadership to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational growth, profitability, employee engagement, and retention.
- Leads complex and high-risk employee relations matters, including litigation support, agency charges, executive-level investigations, reductions in force, restructures, and other sensitive employment matters.
- Provides strategic oversight and coaching to Human Resources Directors and Managers, ensuring consistency in HR practices, compliance, and leadership development across the portfolio.
- Drives succession planning and leadership development initiatives to strengthen internal talent pipelines and support long-term organizational needs.
- Leads workforce planning efforts for assigned properties or business units, including organizational design, labor optimization, talent forecasting, and change management initiatives.
- Partners with Legal, Risk Management, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition teams to develop and implement enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
- Utilizes workforce analytics and business metrics to identify trends, assess organizational risks, and develop proactive solutions to improve business performance.
- Provides leadership and guidance during acquisitions, dispositions, management transitions, openings, closures, and other large-scale organizational changes.
- Represents Human Resources in executive meetings, ownership discussions, and cross-functional leadership initiatives, influencing business decisions through a people-focused lens.
- Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and best practices to ensure consistency and operational excellence across the organization.
- Serves as an escalation point for complex compliance, employee relations, labor relations, and operational issues requiring advanced HR expertise and business judgment.
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years progressive human resources generalist experience.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruiting, talent management, training, compensation practices, performance management, culture development, employee and union relations, federal and state respective employment laws.
- Multi-unit hospitality experience a plus
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
- Proficient in HR information systems, preferably ADP
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively communicate, coach, conduct investigations, deliver training, and provide Human Resources support in both languages.
- Knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of human resources and hotel operations
