Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This is a highly visible, hands-on HR role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building trusted relationships with employees and leaders, and turning HR strategy into meaningful action.
As the
onsite HR presence in Middleton, you'll support employees and leaders across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and corporate functions in the US. You'll serve as a trusted advisor across employee relations, talent and performance management, compliance, employee engagement, workforce planning, and day-to-day HR operations.

fully in-person position based in Middleton, WIWhat You'll DoEmployee Relations & Manager SupportYou'll serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers across the United States, providing thoughtful, practical guidance on a wide range of workplace matters.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers in the United States.
- Partner with leaders to address employee relations issues, performance concerns, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Coach and guide managers on employee performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues.
- Support organizational change initiatives and workforce transitions.
- Escalate complex employee relations matters as appropriate.
Talent & Performance ManagementHelp leaders build strong teams today while planning for what the organization needs next.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Identify development opportunities and collaborate on employee growth initiatives.
Recruitment & On-boardingPartner across HR to create a strong experience from candidate selection through successful integration into the organization.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment activities.
- Participate in interviews and candidate assessments as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate on-boarding activities and new hire orientation.
- Ensure a positive on-boarding experience and successful employee integration.
HR Operations & AdministrationBring strong execution and attention to detail to the HR processes that keep the employee lifecycle moving smoothly.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within HR systems.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee information.
- Support annual HR cycles, including merit planning, bonuses, goal setting, and performance review processes.
Compliance & Risk Management- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Support workplace investigations and appropriately document findings.
- Assist with policy interpretation and application.
- Monitor completion of required training and compliance programs.
Employee Engagement & CulturePlay an active role in making Middleton a workplace where employees feel connected, informed, recognized, and supported.
- Support employee engagement surveys and action-planning efforts.
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives.
- Coordinate employee recognition and site engagement activities.
- Partner with site leadership to strengthen culture, communication, and the overall employee experience.
Leave Administration & Employee Support- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding leaves of absence, accommodations, and company benefits.
- Partner with Benefits and external vendors to support leave management processes.
- Help employees navigate HR programs, policies, resources, and available support.

What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations investigations and performance management matters.
- Experience advising leaders and influencing business decisions.
Preferred Certifications- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
Skills & CompetenciesWe're looking for an HR professional who can think strategically while remaining comfortable rolling up their sleeves and handling the work directly.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce HIGHLY Preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to build effective relationships and establish credibility at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Multi-state employment law experience preferred.

Pay Transparency: Pursuant to the requirements of applicable State laws and regulations, the starting salary range for this position is $90-100K USD. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
