As a
Senior HR Partnerat Apache, you will be responsible forbeing a strategic advisor and embedded HR support for multiple Apache regions, supporting both craft and professional populations across union and non-union project sites. This role provides support and guidance in the areas of employee relations (ER), workforce planning, performance management, talent and leadership development, reward/recognition, training, engagement, and policy/guideline development. The Senior HR Partner is the primary HR point of contact for regional operations leadership, provides guidance and mentorship to junior HR staff, and is expected to be present where the work happens.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INCLUDE:- Advising regional operations leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Conducting and documenting employee relations investigations and coaching managers on corrective action
- Mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to junior HR staff
- Collaborating with team members, leaders, and other departments
- Managing priorities and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Supporting a professional, safe, and productive work environment
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Required- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years as an HR Partner supporting field-based craft or operational populations across multiple sites
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, including conducting workplace investigations and advising on disciplinary matters
- Ability to travel to project sites and field locations from 25% - 40%
Preferred- Experience in industrial services, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or a similar project-based environment
- HR Certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Required- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and statutes, with the ability to apply them to real-life situations to mitigate company risk
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
- Ability to use HR metrics and workforce data to influence operational decisions and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-party investigations and advise leaders on high-risk employment decisions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred- Experience with union environments, collective-bargaining agreements, project labor agreements, or prevailing wage requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, FR clothing) and follow site safety requirements when visiting project sites
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
