Senior HR Generalist - Muskegon plays a meaningful role in shaping the employee experience across the site, partnering with associates and leaders during moments that matter. This role brings policies and processes to life through thoughtful local execution, trusted guidance, and practical problem-solving. You'll support associates and managers through complex, non-standard, or higher-risk HR situations that require sound judgment and a people-first approach. These interactions go beyond process-they're opportunities to provide clarity, reassurance, and solutions that help people move forward with confidence.
In addition, the Senior HR Generalist contributes to continuously improving how we work by strengthening processes, supporting policy harmonization, and sharing expertise across the HR operating model. As a subject-matter expert, you'll help ensure fair and consistent application of policy while delivering a positive, high-quality employee experience across the site.
This position reports to the People Partner Director - Resins & Filtration - Pensacola/Muskegon and is part of the North America HR team located in Muskegon, MI and will be an on-site role.
What you'll do- Partner with site leaders and associates to strengthen the employee experience, assess associate sentiment, support action planning, and help advance the associate value proposition.
- Provide trusted guidance to leaders on performance, employee relations, policy interpretation, and complex or sensitive associate matters, escalating higher-risk issues as appropriate.
- Support investigations, separations, audits, and legal or compliance requests in partnership with HR Service Delivery, Legal/Employee Relations COEs, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve non-standard or sensitive HR cases by navigating systems, data, policies, and cross-functional resources to deliver fair, consistent, and practical outcomes.
- Drive local execution of HR projects, process improvements, policy harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance how HR supports the business.
Who you are- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in HR operations, shared services, employee relations support, or a relevant HR specialty area.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sound-judgment skills, with the ability to independently resolve complex HR issues using documented policy guidance.
- Ability to coach and influence people leaders on sensitive matters while promoting modern HR operating practices, including self-service and case management.
- Experience navigating cross-functional systems and data to resolve issues, improve processes, and support measurable, sustainable continuous improvement.
- Expected travel up to 10% for site travel, team meetings, projects, and kaizens.

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000-120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
