If you are eager to grow your career and make a meaningful impact on exciting projects, we look forward to your application.

PURPOSE:
This role owns the end-to-end HIL validation strategy for drive system and range extender functions. It leads roadmap, architecture, process quality, and team mentorship, ensuring coverage, traceability, and release confidence for function owners and calibration teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define the HIL strategy and test architecture across Front Zone (drive) and Scout Hub (range extender), ensuring coverage for normal, edge, and fault cases.
  • Own HIL plant model strategy (motor/inverter, driveline, battery interface, generator/ICE surrogate, thermal interactions) and signal/messaging fidelity (CAN/LIN/FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS, ASAM XCP).
  • Prioritize and plan test scope per release/milestone; align with systems, controls, calibration, and safety teams (ASIL decomposition, FMEA/FMEDA tie-ins where applicable).
  • Lead test automation framework design (e.g., Python, CAPL, .NET, Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and CI/CD integration for regression.
  • Establish KPIs (test pass rate, coverage, defect leakage, time-to-root-cause, rig uptime, flake rate) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Own supplier/lab interface, hardware roadmap (I/O expansion, load boxes, fault insertion, dyno coupling where applicable), and configuration management.
  • Coach/mentor the five mid-level engineers; conduct design reviews and ensure coding/test standards are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 8-12+ years in HIL/SIL validation for EV/HEV powertrain/drive systems (incl. range extender or auxiliary generation preferred).
  • Hands-on with HILs, control desk/automation desk, Vector CANape/CANoe, ASAM A2L/MDF, UDS diagnostics, restbus simulation.
  • Strong in MATLAB/Simulink, model integration, version control (Git), Python automation; familiarity with safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity touchpoints.
  • Proven leadership-road mapping, mentoring, cross-functional alignment, and supplier management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 8-12+ years of experience in HIL/SIL validation for EV/HEV powertrain or drive systems
