Job Title : Senior IT Healthcare Project Manager - Medicaid MMIS Operations
Position Overview

Lead the operational management of business-critical Medicaid systems supporting enrollment, claims, encounter processing, payments, and related healthcare functions. This role combines project management, production operations, vendor coordination, incident management, and release oversight within a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead operational support for MMIS, encounter processing, and supporting healthcare systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage incident, issue, and escalation processes through resolution.
  • Oversee release management, implementation readiness, and post-release monitoring.
  • Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements.
  • Develop desk aides, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Train team members on operational processes and ticketing procedures.
  • Lead production support, helpdesk, interface/EDI support, stakeholder monitoring, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements and operational standards.
  • Support change management through backlog grooming and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field. Equivalent experience in business/systems analysis or computer systems development/modification may be substituted.
  • 3+ years of experience managing healthcare system operations or administrative program functions.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience leading system implementations or enhancements.
  • Experience managing incident, issue, and operational support activities.
  • Vendor management and cross-functional coordination experience.
  • Strong documentation, process management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide on-call and after-hours incident support.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Medicaid Enterprise or MMIS operations.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, and MMIS domain concepts.
  • Experience with ticketing software.
  • Experience writing standard operating procedures for new system implementations.
  • AWS Cloud certification.
  • Experience preparing presentations and reports.
