About this opportunityThe Growth team is where design meets data. As our Senior Growth Product Designer, you'll own the end-to-end experience of how people first encounter Kalkomey - landing pages, onboarding flows, upsells, and the experiments that tell us what's actually working. You'll be embedded with a Growth Product Manager and work closely with marketing and engineering to run a continuous loop of hypothesize, design, ship, measure, and iterate.
This is a solo designer role on the Growth squad, which means you'll have real ownership - and you'll need to bring both creative instincts and analytical rigor to the table. You won't just make things look good; you'll help us understand whether they're working.
You must reside in one of these US states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NV, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, VT, WI, or one of these provinces in Canada: Ontario
What you'll do:- Design and iterate on landing pages, onboarding experiences, upsell flows, and conversion-focused UI across Kalkomey's web products
- Partner with the Growth Product Manager to design, run, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments
- Use analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude), heatmaps (Hotjar, FullStory), and session data to inform design decisions - not just validate them after the fact
- Build and maintain a design system that empowers engineers and PMs to work faster, with an eye toward AI-assisted design tooling
- Translate data signals into clear design hypotheses, and turn those hypotheses into testable prototypes quickly
- Own your work from brief to launch - collaborating with engineers directly in Figma and in code review where relevant
- Contribute to a growing design culture by raising the bar for craft, clarity, and decision-making across the product org
What you'll need:- 5+ years of product design experience, with a meaningful portion focused on growth, conversion, or marketing-adjacent work
- A portfolio that shows real user-facing work and the thinking behind it - what you were trying to learn, what the data showed, and what you did next
- Previous experience designing growth and conversion funnels that achieve business goals while addressing user needs
- Strong Figma skills, including component-based design and design system development
- An AI-forward mindset - you're actively exploring how AI tools can accelerate design workflows, design system usage, and prototyping
- Ability to think in systems: you understand how individual UI decisions compound across a product
- A bachelor's degree in design, HCI, visual communication, or a related field is preferred, but portfolio and experience speak louder
Bonus Points:
- Comfort with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, VWO, or similar) and web analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude)
- You have a background in or genuine curiosity about the outdoors - our users are hunters, anglers, boaters, and snowmobilers
Competencies- Conversion-Centered Design - Designs landing pages, onboarding flows, and upsell experiences with business outcomes in mind. Knows the difference between UI that looks good and UI that performs.
- Experimentation Mindset - Translates data signals into clear design hypotheses and turns them into testable prototypes quickly. Comfortable running A/B and multivariate experiments and letting results drive the next decision.
- Analytical Fluency - Uses analytics tools, heatmaps, and session data to inform design decisions before shipping, not just validate them after.
- Systems Thinking - Understands how individual UI decisions compound across a product. Builds and maintains component libraries that help engineers and PMs move faster without breaking consistency.
- AI-Forward Practice - Actively uses AI tooling to accelerate workflow, prototype creation, and design system leverage - not as a novelty but as a multiplier.
