What does a Senior Graphic Production Artist do at WPP Production?We are looking for a hands-on Senior Graphic Production Artist with expertise in Photoshop for website production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interactive space, and its production requirements, including resolution and output. In addition, candidates must have project management skills, development or HTML email production experience, organizational and leadership skills, and an eye for detail.
Key responsibilities:- Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics
- Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient production and localization workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
- Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, text, and links are flawless
- Track and check-in web graphics and visual assets using a version control system
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure production deadlines are met with accurate file handoffs for localization
- Establish rapport, collaborate with designers, and problem solve with web / email developers and engineers
- Coordinate training of newer team members with help from Team Leads and Production Managers
- Identify and help implement opportunities for automation, process, design, file format, and technical improvements
Requirements:- 5+ years experience in a hands-on, high-volume web or HTML email production and publishing environment
- Excellent design, typography and art-working sensibilities applicable to interactive web pages, HTML emails, and banners
- Deep understanding of a typical web-production workflow, from conception to completion
- Photoshop expertise, highly detail-oriented with a drive for perfection and a keen ability to adhere to graphic design standards
- Experience with asset optimization, Sketch and GiT
- Solid standards-based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledge
- Experience in a coordination or leadership role for web or graphic design, or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive individual and problem solver
