OverviewTISTA is looking for atalented and detail-orientedSeniorGraphic Designerto join our Growth Team. The ideal candidate hasa strong background insupportingfederal, state, and local proposals for clients such as VA, HHS, USDA, and DHSand marketing effortssuch as client presentation, hand-outs/flyers for conferences.In this role, you will be instrumental in helping our team win new work with the federal governmentthrough visual storytelling,creation ofcompelling and visually clear proposal graphics and presentations. You will be responsible for transforming complex technical information into high-impact visuals that are on-brand and compliant with rigorous proposal standards where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop compelling, brand-compliant graphics for federal proposals (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs), including infographics, process flows, solution diagrams, organizational charts, timelines, and data visualizationsensure graphics aligned with narrative content and customer requirements.
- Collaboratewith Solution Architects, Subject Matter Experts, Capture Managers, and Proposal Team members to transform technical, operational, and management concepts into clear, visually engaging communications.
- Translate complex information and technical content into concise, audience-focused visuals that strengthen proposal messaging, improve readability, and support win themes.
- Create professional visual assets, including cover designs, section dividers, callout graphics, and other branded proposal elementsin alignment withthe proposal requirements and layout.
- Develop and maintain visual consistency across all deliverables by ensuring adherence to corporate branding, proposal requirements, and quality standards.
- Adapt, refine, and enhance AI-generated images and graphics to produce editable, accurate, and brand-compliant visual assets for proposal and presentation use.
- Design polished, executive-level PowerPoint presentations for oral proposals, technical demonstrations, customer briefings, and leadership presentations.
- Create custom illustrations, iconography, and graphic elements that effectively communicate key differentiators, solution approaches, and technical concepts.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of creativity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ensure all visual deliverables meet accessibility, formatting, and compliance requirements, as well as client-specific guidelines.
- Experience supporting federal government proposals, capture efforts, and business development organizationsthrough visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with diagramming and visualization tools such as InDesign, Premiere Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Draw.io,Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Solid experience using AI-powered creative tools, including Adobe Firefly, Midjourney,Draw.io, or comparable generative AI solutionsfor image generation.
- Advanced skill in PowerPoint presentation design.
- Deep understanding of brand guidelines, color theory, contrast, and image formatting.
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements and best practices for government-facing documents and presentations.
Qualifications
- 7+ years ofrelevantexperience working in the Federal Government orGovConenvironment.
- Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers/partners.
- Strongworking knowledge ofMS Office and Adobe Suite
- Ability to adapt to new, technology-driven tools, including AI
- Ability to understand customer goals, RFP requirements to delivercompelling and compliant proposalgraphics
- Strong oral and written communication skills;versed at leading a disparate group to a common goal.
- Ability to develop engaging and compellingproposals andcustomer-facingpresentations.
- Self-motivation and flexibility to work on multiple competing priorities.
- Positive and proactive can-do attitude and approach; interested in learning new methods(e.g., AI-assisted design workflows)and tools to improvegraphic generation and design.
- Must be a team player that proactively engages in a positive manner in all phases of the business developmentlife cycle.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels oftheorganization.
- Documented track recordof winning new business both as a prime and subcontractor.
- As part of your application, please submit a portfolio containing 10-15 of your strongest and most diverse design/graphic samples. We are particularly interested in seeing work that demonstrates strategic thinking, brand consistency, visual storytelling, and the ability to develop creative concepts in support of business proposals, marketing and social media including video productions, if available.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, (or equivalent combination of education and experience)fromanaccredited college or university ina related field,business management
Location:
- Remote, with the ability to attend in person meetings atTISTA HQRockville,MD.
Pay Range:
- The pay for this position ranges from $85,000 to $98,000.
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
